Dear Coram Families,

I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones enjoying a restful and joyful summer. As we prepare to begin another exciting school year, I am thrilled to welcome all of our students and families—both new and returning—back to Coram Elementary School, where we have it all! As a Longwood alumni, and a Coram community member for 25 years, I truly value and appreciate how invested our staff, students, and families are in Coram, and I cannot wait to be a part of our continued growth and success.

The start of a new year always brings a sense of energy, optimism, and opportunity. At Coram Elementary, we are committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment where every student feels seen, valued, and empowered to succeed. Whether your child is just beginning their journey with us (like me) or is returning for another year of growth, we are honored to partner with you in their educational journey.

As we look ahead, we will continue to prioritize academic excellence and are committed to maintaining the positive momentum we’ve established. Additionally, we will keep striving to improve attendance, recognizing that consistent attendance is key to student success. We’ll introduce new initiatives and programs designed to engage and inspire our students.

I encourage you to stay connected with us throughout the year through Parent Square, our district website, social media pages, and regular newsletters to stay informed about important dates, events, and opportunities to get involved. Communication between home and school is essential, and we are here to support you and your child every step of the way.

Over the summer, our team has been working hard to prepare our building for a year filled with engaging instruction, joyful learning, and strong relationships. A special shout out goes to our custodial staff, office staff, PTA, teachers, and support staff!

We cannot wait to see our students' smiling faces on the first day of school. It is an honor and privilege to serve as Principal at Coram Elementary School. Let's make this year one of connection, growth, and success together!.

With excitement and gratitude,
Mr. Cavalluzzo, Principal
